Children in the school are learning Spanish and they hope to arrange visits to their 'sister schools' in Spain to practice their language skills and understand the different cultures. The headmaster stated that 'we encourage learning under the global citizenship modules and it will make pupils much more aware of other cultures'. Many of the teachers are also being given the opportunity to travel to Spain to learn the language at Santiago University in Galicia, and set up relationships with other schools. It is genuinely encouraging to see schools recognise the benefit in cultural knowledge and when questioned as to why the children concentrate on Spanish rather than French or German, the headmaster simply replied 'Spanish is the world's second language after English'.
